LP water heater won’t kick on

I have a 2020 grey wolf 22mkse and I don’t understand how to get the water heater to use LP. How do I get it to stop using electric water heater and to use the LP?

Turn the water heater electric switch Off. There's a switch on my heater itself (outside) and a separate circuit breaker in the power box.

Help us help you by giving us the make/model of the water heater.

Forest River uses several different models across the brands.

You'll need a LP tank with propane in it.

You'll need to be sure the tank valve is open.

You'll need to be sure the air is bled from the LP system so the water heater doesn't go into lock-out when trying to light. (most folks do this by lighting a couple stove burners to be sure the LP system works)

You'll need to turn off the electric switch. (there could be two switches depending on water heater model)

If the water is already hot, (from being on electric) you'll need to use some water or wait until it cools down some before the LP side will ignite.
