We tend to like Yogi in Milford...sorry to see others having problems there. We also like Assateague but very few electric sites there. Frontiertown is nice, but I got disgusted with the 3 night minimum in summer which does not work well for my job.

Has anyone tried Massey's Landing down around Long Neck. Seems to be a new location in 2016.

You could try Pokamoke state park in md. Short drive to Assateaque and OC. Nice state park. We stay there during bikefest.

Pocomoke State Park does sound interesting. Wife loves being at Assateague and practically being right on the sandy beach.

Years ago we went to Myrtle Beach so that we could be "ocean front" and somewhat close to home in Delaware. However, didn't like the tight spaces there. Lucked into getting into getting a stop at Assateague when someone else cancelled and have never looked back. I only wish they had more sites available on a weekend basis and/or that it were easier to be able to luck into booking the few sites available.

Had to park my truck on the road due to it couldn't fit on the site.

It was totally different from when I camped there from 2 to when I was 16 and totally different from the times the wife and kids went. I may give it another shot next summer, who knows

We would also recommend Pocomoke SP. We go a couple times per year.

So for an update on Lum's Pond State Park. I posted a pic of their rates.
Ok so sites are paved pads, most are level or close to it. Sites are well spaced most have good shade. They are short and narrow sites. I can fit my crew cab short box TV and 29' TT in the site but it's a bit uncomfortable others were not so lucky and to park in overflow parking area.:what: I have two slides street side that gave a problem getting set up. Between trying to stay on the asphalt pad, clearing slides from multiple wooden posts for hookups was a PITA. Freshly planted grass and a Friday morning rain didn't help, ground was quite a soupy mess and trying not to destroy the grounds. Once grass is better established it will be much better. The new shower house isn't ready, looks like they will be nice with private individual shower stalls. All said, it has been nice experience by end of season it will great place to camp.

Been hearing some not so good reviews of the New and improved Lums Pond, sites to short and VERY un level is the biggest complaint, followed by hard to back into some as the way the designed the apron of the site and also sites not very wide as in to park the camper and also very muddy but think the latter is more because the new grass has not had a chance to grow in yet and folks are going off the pad with their campers. I have not been there yet to see in person this second hand info so how true i am not sure.

Currently we are camping at Leisure Point Resort its not bad just they hit ypu with fees for everything. 2 dollars a day for the pool and $20 refundable deposite for bath house access. they streets are really tight with full time campers cars/visitors cars half on small street and half in lot. hard to park at 31foot. on the pros its a pretty area and we know it very well since we use to live down the street. snuck down to masseys to take a peak at the site before we go labor day. happy trails
