Mackinaw Trip - pics
Hey there - just got back from our longest camping trip EVER...5 days in Mackinaw City, MI overlooking the bridge.

I just had surgery this morning and I feel like poo BUT I wanted to show you 2 pics and then I will upload more when I am feeling better of Mackinaw itself.

This first one is of our rig hitched up...wish that unit wasn't in the background but heck - it was the last Walmart stop before the area so I had to park where I could. LOL



And while bike riding on our first morning there - I had my camera handy and couldn't BELIEVE how this guy had parked it was a riot so I just had to snap a picture for those (you guys) that would appreciate the skills (or complete mistake) it took to get into this spot. HA!



Like I said, I will try to upload some gorgeous scenery pics for ya maybe tomorrow but right now I am off to take my percocet and drift off to la-la land.

I see the bumper on his Dodge is bent. Maybe that has something to do w/ the "close" parking.

I've passed thru the Mackinaw area a few times. Usually not real sightseeing conditions though. I tented in '92 over in the St. Ignace KOA on my way to Duluth & Thinder Bay.

That parking is too funny!
I love the Mackinaw area. As a native Michigander, I was there often with my parents. There was no bridge built yet.

Ya, see if you can get a pic of him driving out of that. It almost looks photoshopped.

Who me? Old? Can you still walk across the bridge once a year or am I dating myself again?

I didn't get to see him leave - I had missed it. And believe me - it wasn't photoshopped...I took it myself while riding a bike!
