Magnadyne M4-LCD - Satellite ready???

We just purchased a 2014 Berkshire that has the Magnadyne M4-LCD radio system. There is an icon for XM. When I push that and go thru the steps to get the radio ID on Channel 000, nothing happens. Also, there is no preview on Channel 1. We had XM in our previous motorhome & wish to transfer the account to this radio. The 'quick' guide says vehicle must be equipped with an optional satellite tuner SXV100. How do I know if I have this?

It might save you time by putting in a call to the dealer they should know the equipment on your rig.

You need an XM connect kit that plugs into the back of the radio and an antenna. I put the antenna on the roof but we take our home receiver and dock and plug it into the aux plugin on the radio.

Thank you - planning on calling dealer tomorrow, but we do have a portable receiver from our old motorhome we can plug in. Was just hoping that in a 2014 model it would be xm compatible, as most vehicles are these days.

If you use an xm connect kit you have to get another subscription but the way we do it you don't. The connect kit you can buy from Amazon, Best Buy etc.
