Mail forwarding question

We are having our mail forwarded to the rv park we are staying at. The mail forwarding is scheduled to end April 1. We are leaving the park April 1, should be home the 4th. Will some mail likely still arrive at the rv park after we leave? I know it takes about 2 weeks for forwarded mail to arrive, just wondering if some may get sent here after we leave.

We have had incredible issues with USPS regarding mail so what they say and what happens doesnt always jive. That said your mailperson should begin redelivering mail April 1st.. In future you can fill out slip and give directly to your mailperson to insure its done correct. We were actually told by USPS supervisor to do it that way as doing it on computer didnt work. Our tax dollars hard at work haha

We also have our mail forwarded to our winter location in AZ. We call our local post office 10 days before we leave and have them put our mail on hold. Also have our AZ post office forward our mail to our home. This has worked for us the last 5 years. But it all depends on the post office.

That's fer sure! We have our mail held for 30 days each winter.
One year they didn't hold it. I went online to try again and the system said can't have another hold while 1st one is in effect. Cancelled the 1st hold- waited a day and set another. That one worked.
One year after the hold we got very little mail. Missing many items, bills etc. I talked to the carrier at our mailbox one day and she said she was a sub but she would check for me. Next day got a box full.
Since then it's been pretty good.
It absolutely depends on your carrier! We have a good one at the current time.

Since your forwarding is ending the day you leave I'd guess you will get mail at the RV park after you leave. Hopefully they will forward it for you! Ask them.
Putting your mail on hold 2 weeks before you head home sounds like a good plan.
Also going paperless on critical monthly bills is a good idea.


Also-- DSS said they call their PO to get a hold. I can't call mine. They will rarely answer but setting a hold online is pretty easy IF you set up log in credentials ahead of time.
