Mattress pads?

Looking for suggestions for a good mattress pad/protector. The mattress is an RV queen and 5" thick. I have a 3" foam topper on it - so only 8" overall. I think I would like one that encloses the whole shebang and closes with a zipper. I'm thinking it would keep the topper from shifting around. I suppose a fitted one (like a fitted bed sheet) would do that, too. Any ideas on that way of thinking?

All the ones I've seen on Amazon and what not are slanted toward really thick mattresses - - like up to 18". I'm afraid that those would be way to baggy and I would end up sleeping on what amounted to a wadded up ball of material - all lumpy. And they seem to slant towards polyester. I sleep hot so some kind of "cooling" material would be nice. I think natural cotton or bamboo would be better than polyester. ? ? ? ?

Any thoughts and/or sources?

Mattress Cover

I too was looking for a 9" mattress cover as our murphy bed mattress was I believe 6" and we are putting on a memory foam topper this year. I purchased from Amazon and it zippered on and is waterproof, bedbug proof and it was easy to install. Look on Amazon for a low profile 9"-12" mattress cover.
Good Luck.

Have been very pleased with the eLuxurySupply RV Mattress Topper RV, from Amazon.

Just an update and a FYI for anyone that searches for mattress pads or covers and finds this post.

I purchased a 3" premium medium foam topper here:
https://foamforyou.com/mattress-foam-toppers
I had to cut it to length but am very happy with it so far.

The mattress cover was purchased here:
https://www.ablifestyles.net/fully-e...r-rvs-campers/
and is a quality, fully enclosed cover. It makes the mattress and separate topper look and act like a single mattress. The company has a size for just about any need.

Gotta love dogs!

We cover our camper mattresses with waterproof covers that have a "breathable" top surface so we're not sleeping on plastic. Waterproof cover -> fitted flannel bottom sheet -> bedding. Bedding in the camper is a pair of normal sleeping bags zipped together to make a king size bag. No sheets or blankets, we ain't making beds when were camping.
