We had first trip of the year in February. Morro Strand State Beach. It's about the only time of the year you can get a spot in a California beach city on short notice

We did seven nights total between OH, WV, VA, NC, and Ga, between April 26th, and May 02. If the weather is good....go !

Living down here our off season is usually mid June until mid Oct !

Our personal "camping season" is typically March through October. We will occasionally camp in the winter...weather permitting. Spring and fall are our favorites. This is in Oregon.

SO TRUE! We had a terrible time finding anything for even March and April.

We start as soon as I can safely flush out the antifreeze and not have to worry about a hard freeze, usually March in our area.

Our first trip of the season will be May long weekend. We stay away from the crowded campgrounds but in Manitoba there are many beautiful campgrounds if you go north and they are not crowded.

X2 for me in Arkansas. Hard to find the time when the holiday season kicks in in November, and March /April can sometimes be too cold and rainy (like it was this year). As a result, my first trip this season was May 8, and it still got down in the 40s the first night, although the days were gorgeous.

When it comes down to it, I personally camp to get outdoors and enjoy nature, not sit in the camper and watch TV or huddled around the campfire trying to stay warm. As a result, i prefer the warmer/prettier months. Otherwise I prefer to sit in the comfort of my house.

But I know that's not everyone's priorities. I've seen some neighbors who hardly emerged from their camper the entire time. And it's true the best hiking around these parts is November to April. I guess for these folks, the weather/temp might not be as big a factor. To each his own I guess.
