Maybe we all make extra work for ourselves
This summer I noticed a gentleman in a site applying a "blackening" product to the cover of his truck bumper. I am all in for these types of products cause of the CR-V we have, so I asked what he was using.
He also wanted to show me what he used to treat the "oxidation" on the fifth wheel. Said he always washed it with a solution of bleach and Dawn detergent.
Well the product he was using worked good.
But I was thinking, that if he did not use that stuff as a wash, he might have an easier job ahead. He was doing what he thought best for his rig, and all complements to that.
I know I have done many things that caused me extra work, but try hard not to.

My humid location ( very close to the Ohio River valley) allows black mold to grow on the top and even the sides of my camper. You can tell where I reach up on the bunk ends of my hybrid to push them shut... the hand prints get a little extra blackened. Anyway, I also use a bleach spray to quickly cut through that gunk on the roof and on the trailer sides when I want to clean up the trailer. I'm sure I would not need to do this if I lived in a drier climate.

FWIW, a mild solution of baking soda and water is supposed to kill mold without the corrosive effects of any Chlorine based product. According to professional house cleaners a teaspoon of baking soda in a spray bottle of water, shaken until dissolved. Apply to moldy area, scrub, flush with water.

Too many pronouns for me to follow. Do you mean that if he hadn't used bleach and Dawn he would have an 'easier time' in the future cleaning his 5th wheel? So.... what would you have used to clean the 5th wheel that will save time in the future?

Dawn is a good grease cutter, but if you follow auto forums you'll notice that they always advise against using dish soap to wash vehicles. Using one of the auto/RV wash soap available at Walmart and other stores is the recommended way to wash a vehicle. The use of bleach is a new one to me, but makes sense for humid locations, but not so much for drier areas.

I cover the trailer for winter, and in the spring there is always some light spots of mold on the roof. I use a product called "Wet and Forget" on the roof. In about two weeks the mold is gone and stays clean until next spring. Easy to use, pour it in a pump sprayer and just spray it on. Works for mold on the north side of the house, too.

I use that on my sidewalks around the house ( especially my north and east side), but never thought about it for the trailer... great idea, THX

No extra charge... but I wax the skin of the trailer every year, it keeps the black streaks away!

A side-bar on the subject of chlorine.
Chlorine is a highly toxic, thus its use in sanitizing agents and pesticides (e.g. DDT...an "organo-chlorine" pesticide that, along with it's brethren has been largely banned from use, as have a number of other compounds such as PCBs). Chlorines are also associated with compounds known to be estrogenic...xenoestrogens...that can feminize those exposed.
When possible, I'd avoid using chlorine. In mild concentrations (e.g. municipal water supplies), it keeps things safe. As a cleaner, it can sanitize. In your RV's water system, it will purge potentially harmful organisms. But, as with organo-chlorine pesticides, dumping significant quantities into the environment can be bad for many organisms...including humans.
When possible, I urge you to choose alternatives to address problems with mold and other "soils."
A very rudimentary look at chlorine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorine
