Mice Deterrent

I am thinking of trying LED Strobe Lights to keep mice out of my 5ver over the winter. Before I buy, has anyone tried and had any success or would I be wasting my money?

How will you power it?

I will power the units (probably 3) using the outlets in the 5ver.

I bought a small LED flashing strobe (can't think of the name) for under the hood of my pickup. It has worked in keeping rats/mice from building nests under the hood for the past two years. Prior to that, it was a constant battle trying to keep them out.
It has alligator clips that attaches to the battery and thus far hasn't run the battery down. My truck is parked outside all of the time and I live at 8600' elevation in Colorado.
