Missing In Action
Hi gang, sorry that it has been a while since I was posting regularly. I've been busy w/ other stuff since October. Winterized the trailer, the annual deer hunt, sold my house in Nov' (closed the deal in Jan'), Christmas & snowmobiling.
Sledding hasn't been that great in my part of the province so I figured I'd check in & see what was up & to let folks know that I was still around.

Glad to see you back. Sounds like you've been one busy camper! I'm sure I speak for everyone here by saying we wish winter was over, warm weather was here to stay and let's get out there and enjoy whatever type of camping you want to do!!!!!

Glad to hear from you. It has been a while. I haven`t owned a snowmobile for many years now but I`ve been hearing the sledding has been pretty good around here in Perth County. Maybe you moved to far north when the snow was moving south. Nice to have you back. Old Guys

No fulltiming, I just moved up to my parents' place. Yes I probably did move too far north as the "Ridges" north of Oshawa & Newcastle have had better snow conditions than Apsley this winter.

You need to be further north. Try Kapuskasing...the only time they have bad sledding is July!

Happy to see you back from all of that fun. Glad you sold your house, we are getting ready to put our house back on the market next month. If you know anyone that wants a house send them my wall.

Funny you mention Kap'. This will be the 1st time since 2000 that I won't be doing a northern Ontario snowmobile trip. Always looked forward to stopping @ the clubhouse in Moonbeam.

We have gone from the Soo to Hearst to Kap to New Liskerd toNorth Bay then back to the trailer clockwise and counterclockwise on snowmobiles! Circled Lake Superior one time. It takes years to get the right snow conditions for these trips! This wasnt one of the years! We rode from the (BIG MAC) bridge to Duluth,Minn& back this year, lots of snow,a week later (MUD)! You cant plan for a snowmobile trip, only GO when there is snow. Camping is a lot easier!! Youroo!!

Very hit or miss. Western Ontario got a major dumping before Christmas. Eastern Ontario has missed any major snowfalls & we've had 2 rain events (New Years Day & last Thursday). Not a great season for sledding around here.

Youroo....The beginning of last week there was enough snow that they were still grooming trails around here but by Friday we had mud or bare grass on a lot of the trails that I could see from the highway. Old Guys P.S. Sorry Rev., didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Yes I am done for the S/B year. By the time it freezes a base and gets more snow to have good rideing it is to late for us! 600 miles to just start to unload the sleds to ride is no fun! Youroo!!
