Smile motorized lift on rockwood popup

Last week I posted a thread about my motorized lift not working. Great suggestions from group we had put a new battery in and it (according to rv service and repair) and didn't have it hooked up right. It had 2 grounding wires. We never even saw the second one........so repairman hooked it up, and the lift works perfectly. I love it when I don't have to spend big bucks, plus now we have learned something.

2 College educated people who don't know how to hook up a battery! That is what retirement is about........a chance to learn things.

More info on this issue. I have a rockwood Hw276 pop up and when my lift did not work, I found that there was an inline fuse hidden under the motor wrapped up in electrical tape with all the wiring. I looked everywhere and after several days of troubleshooting I found the fuse. I also read that on 2007 model, they put the wrong sized fuse (50 amp) and they recommended now replacing it with a 60. No problems since.
