New mattress

Good evening everyone, I thought of a new question to ask your-alls huge wealth of knowledge bank.

I have a queen size mattress in my house shared with my DW. When we bought it, and loved it so much, we asked ourselves, why can't we just now buy the same wonderful mattress for our camper. I measured both house bed and camper bed, they were very similar. I bought it, installed it and love it in both places.
Question, why didn't youse guys think of this and carry it out? Or should how badly did I screw up?

Who are 'youse guys'?

This is an owners forum and it's been recommended in other posts that people often replace the rv mattress with ones like they have in their home.
We have friends that replaced their queen with a Sleep Number like they have at home.

The problem for rv manufacturers is cost and the fact that no matter what mattress they choose, it's not going to be comfortable for everyone.

Because of the slide out design in our motorhome, our RV mattress is what they call a two piece “slash” mattress. We find it very comfortable…..equal to our home mattress. However, we’ve never seen ANY bedding store with a two piece mattress offered. I think it’s just an RV special design, so you’d have to source the RV manufacturing company for their supplier.

x2. I don't know who the OP is referring to. Sounds like it's directed at the RV manufacturers because as you said, there are thousands of posts here about owners upgrading their mattresses.

Our last couple of campers have had decent mattress and saw no need to replace them..... but odd RV sizes seem to dictate what is put in along with price.

Oooooh y'all is annoying ???????? Better that You or Yuse guys
