Traded in a 2003 2304S for a 2010 2304S. Hate the new electric awning. 2nd 2304S in 4 years. I always said I was going to replace the old one with the same model and I did.

Rolled it out when we got back from the dealer than while I was playing around inside I thought a tornado hit. This electric awning was flopping around - in a light breeze! Frame and all! Dealer says not to tie it down and no rafters for de-flappers. Guess if I have to keep it rolled up just as well not have it. Haven't even been camping yet but I have a dislike for it already.

My awning looks just like yours, and I tie mine down with no problem. I do use a bungee at both the awning and the anchor to allow some give. Obviously, you must not make the mistake of trying to roll it up while it is tied down.
My gripe with the awning is not being able to tilt it for run-off. I have seen some ideas on how to give it some tilt but I haven't tried them so far.

The switches for both awning & slide are about 2-3 feet off the floor next to the door. Easy reach for the little ones who like to explore. Need to find a way to hide a disconnect switch for both, unless it can be done at the converter.
I can pull down on the arm and lock it to allow drainage.
Also, the rear arm won't line up when reeled back in. Something sprung.
Still not crazy about it. I may replace it with a manual awning.

Hmmm...I don't think I can adjust my awning like in your photo, but I will have to look more closely. May be a good idea to actually read the manual!!
On the arm not lining up...I have seen some posts talking about making sure that the canvas is in the proper position before rolling it back up. The ends, which are attached to a tube that slides into a groove, tend to shift one way or the other causing the uneven situation when retracted. In the extended position, make sure the ends are centered in their original position before retracting.
I didn't realize the position of your switches. Maybe placed there so they can be reached from outside the rig? I wonder if there is some type of cover you can find? I would have the same issue with my grandkids.
