Ive read a lot of set up and use questions for travel trailers. Please before you pull that new beauty from the lot or from a private owners driveway. Have them explain everything to you and if something is missed please come here for those answers. The seller has a responsibility, a respected one, to give you a well informed walk around and walk through. It worries me when questions are asked that the seller should have provided. Beware of sellers who wont let you walk the roof just as long as you take your shoes off or check for debris caught in you shoes threads. A good seller should always have time for after purchase questions. My last purchase of a motorhome had a Pennsylvania R title. Yes I did miss that when I signed it but the seller never told me it was a stolen and recovered vehicle. I had to put the motorhome through an Enhanced Inspection before it could be titled. It was a pain. HAPPY TRAILS TOO ALL.

I'd definitely agree with this. We bought our RV from a local dealer. Our experience with the dealer was great. No complaints there. But our salesman however, was not the best. The walk around after the purchase was lackluster. I had no idea until I got home how much the salesman left out. THANK YOU youtube! I had to watch a lot of youtube videos to catch up on everything that I should have been told but wasn't. And Forest River certainly doesn't provide a lot of useful manuals either.

It's always recommended that customers refuse to accept the RV, if the dealer won't provide an adequate PDI/walk-through. Make them reschedule it and only pay when the walk-through is satisfactory and all bad things are fixed or documented.
And a generic owners manual is the RV Industry standard, not just FR. New RV's equipment should come with separate manuals from the respective manufacturers. Like fridge, oven, air conditioner, converter and so on.

These are good points however what it missing is that the buyer has a responsibility also to do some research and ask the right questions. JMHO
