No Camping For Us...Thanks Thieves
No camping for a couple of weeks for my wife are two Pomeranian's and myself. We took delivery of our new 2016 Rockwood 2703 in June and this past Saturday at our local Sam's Club my TV was stolen from the parking lot a 2006 Chevy 2500HD so we have to wait 20 days for the police to find it before the insurance will settle the claim...So no Labor Day trip this year If it's not recovered I have narrowed my search down to getting either a Dodge, Chevy or Ford 3/4 ton to replace it Should I consider anything else ?

Very sorry to hear that. I had a 2500HD / Duramax it was the best tow vehicle i have ever had, Had Dodge and Fords but the Chevy was great. Never had it back to the delaer for any thpe of repiars. I take that back there was a recall on the steering joint. But never had a problem from it. Get what suites you best. Everyone has ther favorites. Good luck, and again i hate Thieves.

A 3500 only cost a few dollars more, sometimes the 2500 might cost more. I would get the bigger truck. I wish a thief would steal mine, I have truckits

Man what a bumer. May be it will turn up before the long weekend. If not best of luck on your search for a replacement. One truck I almost bought before the2015 Chevy was the 2015 3/4 Dodge Ram Larmie with 6.4 V-8 and black appearance group. Later RJD

If you have to go the new truck route...I'd seriously look at the SRW 1 tons, that'll take care of most future camper upgrades!

Why would you even consider the Ford or Dodge. You said you wanted a truck. Duramax is the only one out there!

I'd rent a truck and go out for Labor Day.
Oh yeah, Cummins.

Sorry to hear about your loss of TV and mostly your weekend of enjoying the RV.
Bet that good looking truck has crossed the border south!
Good luck with your search for another TV.
Travel safe

Sorry to hear about the loss. Hopefully you get a decent settlement and can purchase what you require. May I suggest a Ford.
If you need it a F 350, I have a F 250 with a camper package that can tow a lot. Licence cheaper as well!

I just recently was truck shopping. Didn't want to purchase another new one. Couldn't afford a Ford and like to never found a Chevrolet 2500HD in NC with under 100,000 miles. Finally found one a 2012 with 60,000. Had to drive three hours to pick it up. Got home and pulled the new bed liner out to install rails for a fifth wheel hitch. Holes already in the bed from previous install.

unfortunately ,if a new bedliner is installed on a used truck you can bet there was a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch installed previously.....
