Nudist campgrounds
Anyone here ever been to a nudist campground? The wife and I are thinking about it. We've been to a topless beach in Mexico and the topless deck of a cruis ship, and thought this might be the next step.
Any good or bad experiences? Just wondering....

I would never do this. I would fear for my life. I always tell my wife she has to watch out for the "big" girls because they are brave. I am a thin guy and they would knock me over the head and drag me off and have their way with me if they saw me walking around buck naked. That and the birds would be chasing me down!

When I first read the OP's post I thought no way would I ever camp at a nudist campground. Then I thought if I ever wanted to get away from it all, have some peace and quiet all to myself. I could set up camp at one, take one walk around the campground wearing nothing but what God gave me, and the place would probably empty out before I got back to my tt!

My wife and I have gone to the nudist beaches here in FL. You may want to stay away from 'GODS WAITING ROOM' ! Very disappointing.

OMG! Y'all have made my morning! This is the funniest thread to date!!
How you know some folks out there SHOULDN'T go naked!!
Besides is camping naked a good idea? What about bugs and poison ivy?
Now don' get me wrong... I like being naked outside just as much as the next guy or gal... but in public? NO WAY!
As the late great Lewis Grizzard said :
"In the south there's a difference between 'Naked' and 'Nekkid.' 'Naked' means you don't have any clothes on. Nekkid' means you don't have any clothes on ... and you're up to somethin!"

Watch any Cruise line commercial on TV lately.
Notice all the hard bodies all over the place.
No flabbies in sight anywhere.
Actually go on a cruise and note the "real people" on deck.
I suspect many nude beaches are like that..... better
to imagine than to actually view.

In my experience, the only ones that feel fine stirpping down to nothing in a public setting are the ones you don't want to see strip down to nothing in a public setting.......

Campnqueen, thanx for the great Grizzard quote!
i loved listening to that guy and loved that quote, having grown up in Miss. and La.
my favorite story of his, was about Uga, the UG mascot, at their stadium, on a "day made for football!"
a great story told by a great storyteller.

I couldn't do it and I don't think my wife could, or at least I hope she couldn't. Heck I even close my eyes when I'm taking a shower. lol
I certainly don't blame anyone that could, it's has to be a good feeling being free...oh that's for all the inmates getting out.....what a post..
what's next wife swapping? As Henny Youngman says...Take my wife please. Or I got a dog for my wife....not a bad trade...
To shy to put my name down......I forgot it's to the left...

Picture the people around you at Wal-Mart in the buff and that's what a nude anything looks like. Maybe Wal-Mart may be a bit too frightening. Let's go with Target for the mental picture.
I had the interesting experience of walking across a nude beach once in St. Martin. Some great bods and some not so great bods, just like anywhere else. The folks I know who are into the nude beach, campground, or whatever tend to be very laid back and very non-judgemental. The vast majority of them are not swingers or anything kinky. They just like being outside in the buff. Some of them are even Born Agains so if that's what someone wants to do, then more power to them. Best I can tell they aren't hurting anyone.

I know we wouldn't go to one either. We're too modest.
I might consider it and start out by wearing camoflage fatigues and sunglasses and reveal only my head, hands and feet. Then study the reaction of people and how much I scare myself!!
