Oddly enough, I've never had rain come in through either of my vent covers. Even when the storm blew through that dropped the branch through my roof. For some reason, the rain does not blow in through the vent covers. Or at least it hasn't yet!

I have never experienced that either and my vent is open 24/7/365.
