OK, is eveyone ready

I believe Sunday is the first day of Spring, is everyone ready to hit the campgrounds? This is almost like the two big rallies that are coming up, F.R.O.G and Tadpole, just can't wait.

I wanted to go. Hubby said he thought I really really wasn't able to handle it yet. I think I am. Maybe next weekend.

Our new TT is still at the dealer as well. We had to buy a TV (got it thursday) and I ordered the hitch/brake bits today. Another 3 weeks maybe and we'll be ready!

Just waiting for the temp to stay above 0 for more than an afternoon, then just maybe. We put our new leather rocker recliners with ottomans in the trailer to replace the swivel rockers. Also took out the bar stools and coffee table as they are a waste of space. Have to install Maxxair vents when it warms up and a few other things. But I think that is still 2 or 3 weeks away, maybe more.

I for one am ready. (Of course, the new trailer isn't in yet, so, that doesn't mean much.) I have a ton of things to do to it between the time I pick it up and the first trip. (About 10 days! DOH!) Of course, that means 8-10 days of living in it in the yard for the "dry run"!

C-mon Spring!

It would have been a good weekend to go here too. I still have two weeks before we pick our new one up. First trip planned April 15th.

I'm more than ready for spring and to get out camping. Should have planned a trip this weekend, oh well, had to work. I did a few mods today after work instead. Below are pics of my Oxygenics shower head and flipped over valve assembly. I fabricated brackets and hung my daughters TV at the end of her bunk in her bedroom. Also finished up installing valves on the low point drain lines in place of the caps. Our Trailmanor had valves on the drains that I used every trip to drain all the stagnant water from the lines.

We arrived home two weeks ago today from a camping trip to Florida. We were there six-weeks. Missed all the cold weather here. Next trip probably won't be until May or June.

If things work out I'll be heading out Thursday, maybe Wednesday. I need to sanatize the water system, hoses and fittings. Then I'll do a little cleaning, check everything and load up. Hopefully I'll get all that done Tuesday.

The wife and maybe a couple of the grandkids will join me Friday evening. Highs have been in the low 80's and lows in the low 60's, but it will cool off some. Forecast for this weekend calls for highs in the mid to high 60's and lows around 50°. Just right for a nice campfire in the evenings.

We'll camp til Sunday so I hope to get a few days of crappie fishing in. If I'm lucky I'll catch 'em during their spawn. Lake is low and I'm not sure how that will effect the fishing, but I won't know til I put a hook in the water.

Good luck and happy camping!

We have camped (this is our 6th night) so far this year. We weren't planning to pick up our hybrid until closer to spring but once we started paying for the storage space, we decided to pick up the trailer and went straight to the state park. The denver area has had several nice (defined as above freezing during the day) weekends and we have taken full advantage of them! Good camping to all !

I started yesterday putting in canned food and clothes for the summer. Also cleaned a little and rearranged some cabinets. Yes, we are ready to start camping, but first trip is not until the end of April.

We returned yesterday from our first trip of the year, spending last week at Seminole Canyon State Park in TX (near where the Pecos River meets the Rio Grande). Nearby is the home to the 'infamous' Judge Roy Bean. We went there from home in Albuquerque to enjoy the warmer weather - the high was 93, low at night was 60. It was great to be wearing shorts in early March! Now for planning the next trip......
