OMG!!! When is the fricken snow gonna stop $^^$^%

I cannot believe this winter here, we have already reset the all time snowfall record for this area and still have snow banks over 10 feet high around the perimeter of our yard and in our garden. And now... Get this up to another 30cm from tonite till the end of the weekend.

Saw on the news snow in minneapolis.

Our winter ended a few days ago - INSTANT SUMMER! Past 2 days in the 80s! Low tonite is low 60s. This is july weather for us.

And you'll get no complaints from me!

We're supposed to get 10" of that white stuff tonight, but it's been so dry here, in southeastern South Dakota, that we are welcoming the moisture. That said, the ice we got the last day and a half hasn't been ideal! There are lots of folks without power and that's no fun!

Yes, we need the snow too but I am ready for warmer temps and NO SNOW! Then again here in Colorado the weather is so crazy we never know what we are going to get.

Today I saw a robin! The redwing blackbirds are back. But we may get 6 more inches of snow on Friday. I was crazed enough last week to make camping reservations for the last weekend in April. Will have to get real warm for that to be a go! There is still a big snowbank in front of the trailer. Well, it made me feel momentarily better, LOL.

We were outside yesterday sitting around a campfire. Noe they are calling for freezing rain and 15 to 20 cm of snow (6 to 8 inches). With temp. back up to the 50 by Sunday.

A buddy of mine from Toronto arrived in the Swift Current area after two months in Tucson. He did that rather wide detour driving home (no trailer involved) to see his few days old first grandson. He's pretty much shocked and astounded by the snow and cold and this is a guy that gets away to ice fish. Now he's thinking he's going to see a lot more of the little fella than he expected!

We on the BC south coast, on the other hand, are wondering if the monsoons will ever let up. There was a real teaser of a nice week around Easter, but then right back to the wet stuff and lots of it. Yah, you don't have to shovel it, but it sure still puts a crimp on the outdoor lifestyle.

John, have you thought about taking up snowmobiling? Sorry, couldn't resist!

This "spring" sucks!! Last year at this time we had over 12 days at 70+ (according to the weather girl tonight). Right now we are under a Ice Storm Warning until 7pm Thursday for up to 0.3" of ice, and maybe 1-4" of snow, WTF!! Just 100 miles north near Minneapolis/St. Paul they are expecting 10-14". Oh well, at least I am working inside Thursday and 1/2 day Friday, so I don't have to working in the nasty weather like normal. Then Friday afternoon we are off to the Wisconsin Dells for the weekend, so 80* in the water parks for us, it will at least feel a little like summer!

Hopefully this weather straightens out, we have our first camping reservations in only 4 weeks...

According to the radar tonight, it is snowing all the way down to New Mexico.
And tornado warnings from Lousiana to southern Illinois.
Wild and whacky.

Was hoping to get my trailer in my seasonal site by May 1 which is 20 days away. Right now there is over 2 feet of snow in my camp site and this will have to melt on top of the 10 inches we are expecting and there will also be a flood in the park to get past. All the water here will be greeting TheSasks a few days later. I may be lucky to be camping by the May long weekend this year.

EEEEEEEEEEEEew! Not to mention leveling when the meltdown occurs followed by spring rain. Not a lot of people get how hard it is to level for seasonal....it's leveled on blocks using trailer/frame...blocks that sink in mud and you have to do it over and over. It's not a w/e where it's okay if it jiggles around a little....Just sayin.

Just had a great idea! We have hydro in the trailer at home and the furnace works just fine. If the snowbank doesn't melt we can driveway camp!
