Opening Hydraulic Slide When Very Cold
Recently asked a question about the NorCold Fridge in sub freezing temperatures and appreciate the responses. Now another related question and cold. The temps here at the S&B has been high of 25 degrees during the day and -11 at night. In the non insulated garage where the MH is stored, the temperature perhaps doesn't get much below zero, and might get up to 25 during the day. We are trying to pack for our 3 months going south, but need to open the rear slide to get under the bed and some cabinets the mattress fits up against. Since the hydraulic oil is very cold, is it harmful to open the slide when it is this cold? Would this be hard on the pump or the hydraulic cylinder seals? Sure wouldn't want to break something within a week of leaving ... that would be a bummer! Thanks in advance ...
