Ordering new

How are we doing today? I’m wondering if I ordered new from the factory, can I get the options/changes I want?

I really like the Gulf Stream cabin cruiser 28 CRB’s floor plan but there are some things I would like to change. It shows under bed storage, where you can lift the bed up and put your things in. I’ve also seen, on other models, they have the under bed drawers. Would I be able to order that instead?
Would I be able to pick the location of plugs, lights, etc. Like two separate lights on each side of the master bed instead of one double light in the center? Also would they be able to extend a countertop, add a plug outside, add a cable jack outside, things like that? Just wondering how specific I can get if I’m ordering new. Thanks for any help.

If you’re certain that you want the Gulf Stream 28 CRB, and have actually walked around inside one, you’ll find that’s the way they come. What you’re asking for is custom work, and that’s not the case in RVs at this price range. Only custom motorhome units in the millions of dollars go through item by item build design.

Quite frankly…..all the ideas you want can be done DIY. Many people on the forum here, including myself, have done modifications to their units all the time to make it “the way I want things”.

It’s just a general question for any manufacturer when ordering new from the factory. Can you be that specific in what you want/need or just pick package A or package B?

I believe the OP was using the Gulf Stream model as an example of the floor plan and features they like, and was wondering if any manufacturer (like FR) would be able to incorporate certain features (like bed struts or USB’s in certain places) on a said model. (Like adding certain Gulf Stream features to a NOBO model)

When ordering new, you can only pick whatever options are listed.
There is no customization with most RV manufacturers. Usually only boutique RV manufacturers allow this.
That's why mods are so popular.
