Our maiden voyage

First time camping ever and we love it!! Definitely gonna invest in a better bed despite putting toppers on, I ended up on the jackknife sofa and had a better sleep . We're at jetty park camp ground and the weather is perfect!! didn't need the air last night it was so cool and we can hear the ocean from our site. Click image for larger version

We've tried several different memory foam toppers including a new mattress one on our bed at home and have taken them all back , we ended up with a hybrid mattress and love it, now that we know that we're gonna love camping we can start to look for a better one. I already don't want to leave!

My wife and I keep a spreadsheet on every campground we go to, with good sites, rank them good, better and best, and if there is anything particular about a site, such as good view or easy fishing access.

This way when we book a site online, we have all that info right there.

Great advice, Thank you!!! We only live about 15 minutes from here and our country resident rate is dirt cheap for being just a stone's throw away from the beach. Probably will camp here a few times to get acclimated before venturing further, lol

As Lugoismad said, I too keep a notebook on campgrounds visited. I also include a park map and mark off the good sites where RV will fit and some room between

X2!
My DW makes spreadsheets for everything. Instead of a "Honey Do" list, she makes a spreadsheet broken down by room with everything she wants done in that room. 😮. 🚮

Jetty park is one of our favorite " local" places. Just were there for four nights and were able to get a site on the "beach loop". We were especially lucky that SpaceX had a rocket launch that morning, and the pier on the jetty is a perfect spot to watch from
