Not many pet peeves about camping, especially over the things I can control... but my disappointments come from all those who feel they don't have to obey the rules and the campground officials who do nothing about it.

Campers who are still sitting around their RV one hour after checkout time.

How do you know that they didn't ask for late check-out or are staying longer?
Or did you get there early and are waiting for that spot?

Our "GO TO" weekend campground in N Ga is US Forrest Service. No reservations in advance. First Come First serve and rules state "must stay on site first night".

Locals, bring rig, tent, table and/or chairs and set them on sites on a Tuesday or Wednesday... "reserving a site".... then show up on a Friday night.

Checkout is noon...check in is 1 pm and it’s 1:30. There are no late checkouts in state parks around here and the site is reserved by someone else.

Ok, this is basically just a vent thread and not really about anything that the members here can do anything about.....except chew on each other.

This thread has no solution for anything and is being closed for the sake of forum harmony...as well as to give the site team some relief from the complaints.
