travel camera
I have a Lumix zs-70....pocketable, more than enough focal zoom yet good macro, touch screen but optical eye viewer when the light is too bright for screen or for stability, Leica lens. Can shoot in raw if you do that. Monopod seems to work for me. More options than I have been able to use. I leave the DSLR behind more now.

I also use Lightroom and Photoshop, mostly Photoshop.

Envious of your equipment assets. What kind of gimbal do you use with your Tamron 150-600? It’s on my wish list.

Recently, I wanted more distance and picked up a Sigma 150mm-600mm F5-6.3.
Like others on here, I use Lightroom and Photoshop for Post-Processing/Catalog.
It's a beast of a lens but takes great pictures and was half the price of the Canon 100-400mm.
I took this moon picture handheld (no tripod) after a few margaritas at a NASCAR track campground. Was surprised it came out so clear. It was hazy that evening which is reflected in the picture - it got worse as the night progressed.
The second is from behind one of our favorite National Park Campsites in the morning with campfire smoke wafting through the campground..

Wow! Beautiful!

I still have a Pentax istDS and a K10D...
The K10D is the better, more expensive camera, but I've had a lot of problems with it.
The DS still works like a charm, but I hardly use either of them anymore.
Both great cameras, though!
These are all from the old Pentax istDS:

More Alaska. Humpback Whales bubble net feeding. If you look close you can see some herring jumping.

I found this one in my phone gallery. Not a great shot but candid. Assateague State Park, walked up for some lunch he got the butter from the neighbors. Second pic was our site as we were trying to setup. Young foal heavily protected by the herd.

Get an extending single pole "tripod" with a quick mount for the camera. Push a button and the single pole extends to your perfect height. Push the button again and it will collapse. You can walk around it in a circle without the worry about tripping over a leg like a three legged tripod. It hold steady because it is bottomed to the ground. I have one that I use for my 80mm binoculars.

It’s been hot, hot, hot here in Missouri. This little squirrel decided the best way to cool down was by spreading out on this rock in the shade.

Use string as a tripod.

Beginning to contemplate upgrades to my tripod (it's heavy), DSLR body, and sling bag. Of course, I always dream about some new lenses. Recent constraints to my mobility will force some of the changes.
Post processing is done with Lightroom/Photoshop as well as Topaz Studio and DxO. Have enough RAM to keep them all happy (24 GB.)
So what do all you photographers do?

A quick trick if you don't have or want to use your tripod. Take a long piece of string and tie it to a screw that fits under camera where tripod mount goes. Put end of string under your foot and pull tight to take the picture. Stops the trembling and camera shake. Works great for me.

Good trick for those places that prohibit tripods as well
