Pinecrest, CA getaway...
So I was able to get the heck out of Dodge this weekend with my fellow "frazzled Moms". I hadn't been to Pinecrest in YEARS, but it's close, only took us 2 hours, pulling the trailer, and only 21 bucks a night!
Our spot was C036, and was GREAT because there were only people on 2 sides of us, and they were pretty far away... 40+' away. It was a spot more at the end. Was pretty easy to back into too.
There was plenty of room to put the awning out. Lots of pine trees. Lake was walking distance.
The only bad part was the water situation. They had those spigots that you can't screw a hose to, so we had to rig something up that we bought from the General store, which was also walking distance. Got enough water in the tank to be able to flush the toilets in the middle of the night. The campground had nice flushing toilets, and coin showers that were a little further then I liked, but better than nothing.
We checked out at 10:30am, (checkout is 11), and went to the day use area, where we spent the whole day at the lake before gong home. Was really a wonderful time, and I highly recommend it.
