Please don't bee this guy.

He left on these very brighr LED decorative lights all night. Even with our blinds closed, the entire inside of our camper glowed green all night. Click image for larger version

We can SO agree with that point.

Last year, we found ourselves at a nice state park here, and someone left several obnoxious lights on while they rolled off to the casino. So much for star gazing / satellite watching etc. "Grumble."

Went back to the same park a few weeks later, "almost" the same thing ... but this time around, was a group in same site, with a number of folks who had special mobility / ability requirements. So they had a modest light going all night so their campers could safely get to / from bathroom land. Anyone who helps get others out camping like that is answering to a higher calling, and deserves praise for same.

We see that all the time at public RV parks now. Some parks are starting to add rules for bright lights in their park under the quiet hours category.

A few bad apples always spoil it for everyone.

Our solution is to stay out of busy RV campgrounds whenever possible and enjoy the boonies

We have the starlight system on our camper, it's a pleasant blue color and intensity is adjustable. We strive to always shut it off before we go to bed but in honesty, it's easy to forget.

Pleasant to you. Several of our group with newer rigs have all kinds of colored lights all over their rigs. The only ones I see a use for are the ones under the awning. The rest I just consider 'cool' factor for them and annoying to most others

Some people just don't think about things like that until they wake up the next morning to find an anonymous note taped to their door telling them it would be more considerate of them to turn the decorations off when they go to sleep.

Some will get the message, some won't. For the latter it may pay to make mention to the "campground host" and let them deliver a more "official" message.

That said, blackout curtains help if one is light sensitive at night. Me? When I zonk out I'm pretty much out until dawn unless I hear (or feel) messing with my trailer. By then the Shih Tsu has raised a pretty good ruckus.

This is very true. I like the lights under the awning the best but the underbody lights are nice just for the visibility.

X2 on the low height lights. The ones under the awning attract all the bugs in the area. I keep them off for that reason. I don't have low lights, but I think the bugs would be less of a factor. Depending on the closeness/angle of the trailer sometimes their lights bother me too.

I would ask them to turn them off should I be annoyed.

Bright lights

I have the awning lights which i dont use much the trouble with mine was the under step lights were on or off with the awning lights so I had the service dept put in a switch that only runs the step lights.

If I have my awning lights on bright outside the quite hours while playing a board game or cards with my family and someone comes and tells me my lights are annoying them. I would like to tell them to go pound some sand.

But, I will nice and say...I'm sorry my lights are annoying you but we are having quality family time. I will turn them off before we go to bed or quite time starts.

I have adjustable power and color LEDs under awning and frame. I rarely turn them to 100%, I manly use them as a soft light while sitting around talking.

I always leave a light outside at night on the American Flag. But it is just enough light to make her visible and is 30 ft in the air. the light points up and is mounted at 24 ft The only time I do different is on the lake in January-March then it is full blast high lumen side lights and a distress light gps position locator connected so other ice fisherman can find their way home in a snow storm.

we have some "scare" light mounted beneath our camper. We have problems with coons and possums, sometimes pigs in the state and some private campgrounds here in Louisiana. The lights keep them out from under our camper while we sleep and they are far enough inboard so as not to be a bother to our neighbors.

You're just not a Redneck unless there are 4 colors, and they blink........randomly.

I have white LED lights on two sides of my awning poles. They are there so people (me) won't walk into them after dark. Not going to turn them off for anyone.

I also have lighting under the TT and keep the orange and red trailer running lights on all night to attempt to keep critters away. No way those are bright enough to bother anyone.

Well, since ya'll are up anyway because of the lights, I might as well run my non-inverter genny to keep the A/C going.

I only stay on sites offering electric as I need AC. I damn sure promise my non inverter genny will run all night long if a power out happens. That is why I never camp anyplace without electric.

We will usually turn on the awning lights if we are sitting around outside or if we are returning after dark. I always turn them out when we turn in for the night or 9 pm, whichever occurs first.
