Predator 3500 Gen

Read some older threads about this generator. Anyone have significant hours accumulated on one yet? I have seen a few negative youtube vids on them but also some positives. I know oil break-in is imperative. Thanks

There was a guy on here six months or so ago that bought two for his food truck and had hundreds (maybe more) hours on them with no issues. I think he was running them 8-10 hours straight every day of the week.

Have a Predator 3500 I use only for my RV. Quieter than my Yamaha 2000. Works great.

Generator

I have the Generac IQ version, a little more steel, same motor. I have 160 hrs on mine, excellent unit. Getting almost 7.5 hours on fuel fill. Last outing the guy next to me had a Honda 3000, sound level was the same. The tone on his was slightly lower, less noticed . Considering his weighted 35 lb. more than mine and cost 2X as much, pleased w/ mine.

Just picked one up this morning. Breaking it in now. Ridiculously quiet and powering two window units for load. I plan on 2 oil changes in the first 10 hours. Paid $699 with online coupon.
