Post Printed RV Magazines Subscriptions ?

I hate reading magazines on line. Being old fashioned, love to sit in a shade and read books and magazines. I hate trying to read these on an electronic device.

Are there any magazines I can subscribe to about RV'ing and related subjects?

Welcome to the forum.
RV Life and Trailer Life come to mind - if they are still in print.

Two that I know of are Motorhome magazine and Trailer Life magazine. We subscribe to Motorhome in print edition.

Good Sam has some kind of partnership with Trailer Life magazine where you can get it discounted or free, depending on level of membership.

And yes, Trailer Life is still available in hard copy.

That's the one I use. My GS nets me 4 free issues a year (one a quarter). I stockpile them for reading during the winterization months.

I just bought Trailer Life at Barnes & Noble this weekend. An idea about building a shoe storage unit/shelf to fit in the exterior steps was worth picking it up.

American Road magazine is more about the travel than the vehicle.

I still consider a backpack the ultimate camper...Backpacker magazine still exists in print.

I miss Pop-Up Times magazine. After reading, I gave them to other popup campers we met at campgrounds.

ROVA is a great new print magazine about RV adventures.

FMCA.com has a free subscription to Family RVing Magazine with their membership. They mail a printed copy as well as having a digital copy.

Any magazine can read completely between the mailbox at the curb and my house is pretty lame. This doesn't count reading the ads for hearing aids, motorized wheelchairs, lifts, that indicate the target audience.

I gave up on Trailer Life. One constant commercial for Good Sam/Camping World/Good Sam/ Cheap Travel Trailers at Camping World/ Gieco and maybe 1 article worthwhile.

Check out; RV PRO; this is geared to dealers sort of. It’s a high quality print. And to this point is free. If you beaver saw it, check it out.

Ditto...just let my subscription lapse last month, and the premium they add for Canadian subscriptions made me back out.

The Family Motor Coach Association includes a printed version of their magazine in the membership price, which also includes their emergency medical/evacuation plan. The FMCA recently opened their membership to self-contained towables and the magazine articles cover both motor homes and trailers. Trailer Life is published by Good Sam/Camping World, and although it contains very useful info, the products featured in the articles seem to be items available at Camping World or advertised in the mag.

Mags are so thin with actual articles and info. Even with the ads they are pretty slim reading in print. Maybe I need to get an 8 year old read it so it takes longer time to read.

Trailer Life seems to have SIGNIFICANTLY gotten less worthwhile over the last couple of years. Seems to be about the time Bob Livingston became less involved with it.

I agree. My subscription runs through 2019 but unless it gets a little "meatier" I won't be renewing. Frankly there's so much information on these forums as well as the internet that print publications have a tough time being relevant. Ken Freund used to have some pretty good technical tips, but the ones today are pretty limited in most cases.

I agree with others that Trailer Life is available in print, and I find it enjoyable.
I've learned a few things that are not germane to my needs (diesel power upgrades, fiver hitch options, etc.) bit I enjoy soaking it in. And the articles on destinations are always pretty good.

TL also does a number of things of value, such as interventions on behalf of owners with manufacturers and dealers. ..generally with good outcomes.

Overall, it's a fun, light read...so much so that I buy gift subscriptions for my brother and for another close friend.
