Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C
I'm interested in the EMS-HW30C, ... all the pic's I see of it on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, ect., show the statement "Made in USA" on the face plate of the unit, ... reading Amazon reviews today, someone said it it was made in China, so I sent PI an email asking them, ... their reply is shown below ...
The EMS-HW30C is assembled in Mexico.
Thank you,
Kristi

is this something that has just recently changed, because all the pic's of that face plate do say USA ... is there anyone here who has bought one RECENTLY and would please shed some light on whether yours says USA or Mexico ? ... thank you

FWIW, I just bought the 50 Amp version and on the front of the box it states "Assembled in Mexico".

The box for my EMS-HW30C states 'proudly made in the USA'.

My PI-HW30C was made in the USA. Progressive Industries had been bought out by another company in the past year or so. We all know how that goes, out source production to another country so they can put more money in their pocket.
But it still is a reliable product.

Side note- read your warranty paperwork. I’ve been hearing that warranty ONLY valid if you had your HW unit installed by the dealership

How can warranty be denied if it was installed by a licensed electrician?

got Progressive Industries answer about the warranty this morning, ... now we know, no guessing, ...
Hi,
This is what I tell people when asked about the installation of their EMS hardwired unit. I tell them that while it is recommended that a Licensed Electrician or RV Tech install the unit. The RV owner can install the unit if they have the skills to do so and can wire the unit per the instructions and wire it correctly it will not void the warranty. However if the unit is wired up incorrectly and something damaged it would not be covered under the warranty.

That’s great to hear. Glad you reached out to them. Maybe I will call them to get my main board replaced...again. Just didn’t want to get frustrated and bang my head on the Wall because dealer did not install it.
