Place near me has 20lb. propane refills for $6.99, but they have a sign stating they fill to the same capacity as the propane exchange places. With my one tank having a gauge it shows about 3/4 when I fill there. Another local place charges $11.75 and the gauge will register 100% and I can tell the difference in carrying.
Our Costco doesn't carry propane, but is the cheapest around for gasoline, and has become a favorite of ours for a lot of products since it opened. Costco started on the West coast and worked its way East.

$7.99 here at Costco and also BJs for 20# $13 for 30# both places they compete as I love it as it keeps the prices down so I can go either or.

I paid $30 at the campground to fill a 30#. The tank was stolen before I had a chance to pick it up. A learning experience.

Costco is Sams Club.

Was called Price Club and name change a few years ago. They are building a new one with 3 km of my place, they will have Gas and Diesel so that will be my local filler up place for all types of combustion products. Propane, Gasoline, Diesel some types of food as well..
If you mean Costco is the same concept as Sams Club,I agree. If you mean Costco and Sams are owned by the same corporation - they are not.

Wow!

That's not even $7.00 for a 30# tank. Amazing.

You got to love Holtwood Supply. 6.00 for a 20 pounder, 30 pounder is 9.00 and 40 for a hundred pound.

your right Oaklevel. to join Costco will cost you another $55.00 per year. The closest Costco to Clarksville is Durham NC. I bought a membership because I go to the VA in Durham NC. When I go I just buy bulk meat. Better quality then I get in Clarksville Food lion. Everytime I go there it cost me $300.00 but I save on buying meat to make up for it.

Last I bought was in Davenport, FL about 18 months ago and gave $18 + change to fill a 30# cyl. We've filled (4) 30# cyl's in the 3+ yrs we've had this trailer. Running the stove, bbq, water heater and frig on propane and stay in FL 3+ months the last 2 yrs and went to 2 Goshen rallies. Water heater and frig are on propane while traveling. Just checked and have one full tank and the other is over 3/4 full.

A 30lb tank holds a little more than 7 gallons of propane. So wouldn't that be more like $1.28 +/-? Where I live, propane is sold by the gallon.

Live in Wisconsin. Do you store your gas tanks full for the winter season. We have to store outside. Thanks

Paid $239.25 to fill our 500 gal home tank to 80% of total (400 gals.). Have a liquid fill hose connection on the big tank and I fill 1lb.,20 lb. and 30 lb. at home.
Have not calculated the cost saving but its worth have the ability to fill at home.
Highly recommend if you have a home propane system, the kit is around $100.

30 lb'er at Costco in Fredericton from empty cost us 14.84 with the 13% sales tax included last week

Irving stations - take a second mortgage out on the house.

i did find the adaptor to fill the throw away cylinders at Harbour Freight though... $17.98 USA (like a gazillion $ Canadian after the election we just had)

You would think with the price drop on all fuels that propane would be cheap in all areas. Guess it must be taxes. Later RJD
