Putting a feeler out

We trade in our 1999 36' class A RV and purchased a 2015 Rockwood windjammer 3029W this year and took delivery of it on May 14th. We have camped it it twice so far and are not enjoying it like we did the class A. We have another trip planned for 10 days is July to give it another assessment. My question is if we wanted to sell it for 31500.00 including everything all you would have to do is hook up to the trailer and drive off and go camping does that seem like a fair price. It would also include the equalizer WDH, progressive industries EMC PT50C voltage protector, outside mat, lynx blocks, pot pans, dishes and more. We would have loved to get a new RV but couldn't afford it hence the reason we purchased the TT.

You can always test the waters and see what kind of response you get. One big issue you are going to run into is that the factory warranty is not transferrable, so the buyer is getting no warranty. That may offset the value of the extras you are including in the sale.

Hello, sorry to hear you are having issue with the adjustment to a TT. We also purchased a TT and traded 13 months later, had some issues with the slide, in the end the ceiling height was an issue for a 6 ft 4 in tall guy and a short queen bed. We were able to get a decent trade, only lost 4k, and bought a 5th wheel we love. A suggestion would be to try some more camping thru the season, if you sell right away you will loose the same as waiting till next spring. Maybe hitch itch will grab hold and you will look at keeping the setup and heading out again.

I see that great feedback has already been provided. I agree with both posters. If possible it might be worth finishing this season before deciding what to do. If nothing else it would allow you to get some camping in.

BTW I'm a creature of habit so it can take me a while to adjust to something new. What are the pros about the class A that you are missing most and also what are the cons about the TT?

The ease of backing up and setting up is a huge thing that was nice about the RV. The storage in the RV was nice in the TT I have to load and unload the TV. Having half of the fresh water capacity compared to the RV is not seems like I'm filling up way to often. The room in the TT is a big improvement although. Along with being able to get in the truck and go some place is wonderful being stuck with the RV was no fun even a challenge to get firewood. Who knows maybe it has something to do with the poor weather for camping we have been having.

Ya gotta give it more than a couple of trips. Right now, you are subconsciously comparing every thing with the TT to the RV. You had a level of familiarity with the RV that you don't yet have with the TT, and so things appear different. And most people equate different with worse.

At some point, you will stop mentally comparing everything between the two (actually, your last post makes me think you already have) and start letting the TT experience stand on its own merits. Surely, some things will not be as nice as in the RV, but you will find some things are better. This is from a guy who started out in an Class A and now has a Hybrid. I miss a few things about the Class A, but I would now miss more about the TT if I sold it and got another Class A.

Give it time.

Great feedback above. Not much to add. Best wishes.

With my TT I had it arranged so that all I had to carry in the truck was my generator and firewood. It will take a little time, a bit of getting used to things, some arranging time. Before long you'll be loving it especially when you hop in the truck to run out for supplies.

Thanks everyone for the great input. I will try to be patient something I'm not known for. I do enjoy camping so that is one thing that will make me want to keep it.

I am one who likes to tow something smaller than I am driving, just a preference. I also find driving my class A easier, site lines are better for me, and backing up into a spot easier. All personal preferences. I've met many people who love to tow and they do it very well.
