Question about weather storms

I'm at Assateague State Park right now and they are calling for strong storms overnight including hail and lightning. Do most people recommend unplugging from the post to prevent damage to their electrical system? I don't have any power or surge protection. I don't know if that's a dumb question or not but thought I'd ask just in case.

Probably not a bad idea, and you will still have lights anyway.
Just settle back, grab a good book, and enjoy the storms.
Hope you don't see any hail though!
