Our 4wd Frontier had a max tow rating of 6,300#, which was easily found on their website. What was not so well-advertised was that it had a max trailer frontal area of 60 sq. ft. That could only be found by carefully reading the owner's manual. Since our Mini Light 2109S had a relatively flat front of 64 sq. ft., we had significant problems towing on Interstates and in headwinds. You wouldn't think that small difference in area would be significant, but it was.

That didn't prevent us towing it for 27,000 miles with the Frontier and a great Reese cam-type weight distribution-sway control hitch, including an Alaska trip. But too much of that mileage was stressful, if not downright white-knuckled.

Nissan and Cummins are getting a divorce.

Not many people chose the diesel. It will be a rare item.
