Rainy morning

Just sitting here having a cup in our RV and enjoying our beautiful campsite while it's raining outside. Which it always does when we're camping. Kind of chuckling to myself. These things sure aren't insulated for sound, are they? And I'm guessing they're all as noisy as ours. Doesn't really bother us, but it is loud...

Yea they are. Sitting in a nice site but under a nut tree. Those babies sound like bricks hitting the roof. Not complaining though.

I bought my TT specifically because every time I went tent camping it rained. I don't might how loud it gets because now I'm much dryer.

I'm envious. Stuck at home.

The rain on the roof of our previous tt and now our mh is much less annoying than the sound of rain and the humidity in our tent.

I had 6 month old reservations that I had to cancel for last week because of the 7 days of forecasted rain. Fortunate, I guess, the forecast was correct.

Enjoying the rain here at home. A nice gentle rain that would barely be noticeable if were camping today (Not until Monday).

The kind of rain that keeps the dust down and makes my lawn happy.

FWIW, I have yet to cancel a camping trip due to rain unless it's so heavy they have to issue flood warnings. Even sitting under the awning and reading a book as the rain pours off the lowered end of the awning is refreshing.

FWIW, if one lives in the PNW and stays home when rain is forecasted, they will have a short, 3 month, camping season.

I hear you Mike. Maine is very similar to the PNW. Camping is very doable. However, my DW thinks otherwise. I have worked mostly outdoors 364 days a year in all types of weather.

There are very few places in Maine to dry camp where there is exposure to sun. One of my joys of camping is playing solar scientist. 7 days of camping in moderate to heavy rain would only be a test of my battery management procedures.

To me, this is some of the best of times camping now that I have the trailer.

Just had to cancel our week long trip because of the storms we are having here. Putting TT in the shop Friday so it will be a while before camping again.
Have fun, Mike
