Range vent cover

So my 2nd trip with the new camper and this happened, my question is can I get a replacement flap for it, and was it supposed to have a cover over the flap, when I bought it I mentioned that it didn't look right to the dealer Click image for larger version

There should be a door with a hood over top of that opening. That's how mine is.

You will not find that anywhere except the dealer. I had the number for it, but I cannot find it. It is manufactured by Camco for OEM. Camco doesn’t have them on their website or catalog. Took me about 3 months before I got the real answer.

Here is a pic without the cover...it snaps on and will blow off...

The best thing you can do is put a roll of painters masking tape in the rig, and tape this shut each time you drive. Remove the tape when you want to use the hood exhaust. This is the worst designed POS ever invented, and has been a known problem for dozens of years. The little tabs break off, and Bye-Bye!!

That exactly what's on our trailer. The hood goes over the flap cover that is snapped on and the hood is secured with screws to the side of the trailer.

I just bought a vent cover at United RV here in Texas. It was not the exact vent cover that came from factory and I had to cut about 2” off the back with a hacksaw it was to long front to back but it was the same length/height dimensions and fit well once that little issue was taken care of...at first I wasn’t to happy because it was not the exact same vent cover (I’m OCD like that) that came from the factory but I’ve learned to like it due to the fact that the flap snaps shut instead of having to be pinned in place.
