Really? Manufacture Defect???

We had a siding panel come out of the front leading edge (port side) while coming out of the Badlands. Progressive Insurance rep is stating that water damage and manufacture defect must be ruled out before they approve repairs.

He backed off the water damage after inspecting the roof and seems seeing that I had used eternabond and new lap sealant this summer. However, "manufacture defect" must be ruled out.

How do you counter that decision point? It seems like that would be subjective and a get out of jail free card.

Our appointment with an RV shop is Monday so they can inspect further.

Thoughts? Any dealings with this type of issue? Thanks!

If it doesn't say that water damage or mfg defect null and void the insurance in the actual contract with progressive they have to fix it. Go above the adjuster he is just trying to make a name for himself. We had that happen allot around here this winter and the folks that did not take the adjusters word as final won out. Good luck let the forum know what happens. Oh I'm assuming you have USAA also complain to them they have routed their business to Pro.

Thanks Seadog! Compounding the problem is that we are in the middle of a PCS.

As for USAA, once this PCS is completed, I am done with USAA.
