RIP Microwave, 2013-2013 - warning, graphic!

On our last trip out with the trailer we noticed a bad odor inside but couldn't identify it's origin. We thought it had something to do with the black water, but it was empty. We even tried to flush out the black water tank by running water from the toilet straight into the black water tank.

Around dinner time we started getting ready to grill some sausages. My husband opened the microwave door and discovered a grilled cheese sandwich from 4 weeks ago My brother-in-law heated up a sandwich for his kid and forgot about it, and so did we.

It was covered in bugs and their babies - yuck! I will spare you the details of what happened next, but ultimately we decided it was not possible to completely eradicate the infestation without removing the microwave.

Our trailer is now bug and microwave free. On the plus side, we didn't really use it much and now we have extra cabinet space!

That sure was one expensive grilled cheese sandwich.

We went to the Outer Banks for a week and came home to a wonderful surprise. While getting some ice out of our freezer before we left for the trip my wife placed a bag of frozen chicken on top of the fridge and forgot it. There are not words to properly describe that odor...

we just got back from Letchworth State Park, NY. First time with shore power all year. My DW couldn't wait to use the electric coffee pot and the microwave. I'm gonna check the Microwave oven right now!

they will go thru the vent system. it's not sealed for critters.
