Road trip up east coast

New A-frame pop up owners looking to make a 10 to 12 Day Rd. trip from North Georgia as far north east as we can go and back. Anybody have recommendations on places to stay that direction?
Thanks!

If you really want to go as far as you can go, head to Lubec Maine. There is a nice campground on the bay (Sunrise? Sunset? - can't remember), but the scenery is gorgeous and is as far downeast as you can get without going into Canada. Bring your passport so you can go over the bridge to Campobello Island. Lighthouses!

What are your interests? You want to drive all day, stop/camp and drive again the next day(s)? Or are you interested in history; revolution or civil war? How about brews or spirits?
If you narrow your interests, you may get more direct responses. Like my area for example.... George Washington had his first command here at Fort Cumberland. We have the beginning of the National Road here and the original toll house still stands. Just up the road in Mt. Savage, MD the first iron rails made in the U.S. were made there. To see all this, use Rocky Gap State Park for your campground.
Have Fun!
