That stinks!

Years ago the wife and I were setting at the dinette eating breakfast while camped at the Fishing Bridge, camp ground, Yellowstone. As I gazed out the window a young man in his mid 20s dressed in only jogging shorts and flip flops, exited his rental class c. He walked around examining the dump valves, with a puzzled look on his face. He leaned over to put his hand on the black tank dump valve, when I said to my wife, "oh no watch this!!!!" Shure nuff he pulled that thing and waste poured out all over his feet. It wasn't full hook ups. He looked at it, it seemed for ever, but I know it was only seconds. He slammed it shut and there he stood in all that mess. I'm cracking up and my wife is saying, "shut up, he can hear you." Well, we left for sight seeing before the camp ground folks got it all cleaned up. When we came back they had done a great gob of damage control. As you frequent camp grounds, you see the most amazing things. The problem is, it's me other people are laughing at, at times due to my dumb mistakes.

I can usually tell a newbie before they even get backed in to their spot...

And I'll offer my assistance before they do something stupid!

I'd rather do that than have to keep my windows closed for the rest of my stay.

I wouldn't laugh either but Im certainly standing clear if they have their hand on the dump valve and no hose is connected.

Challenge accepted.

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a camping trip.
It started right after lunch when Tim really needed to take a ****
He looked into the toilet bowl and saw that tank was full.
That’s when decided to go outside and give the valve a pull.
Go give the valve a pull.

This smelly brown sludge started shooting up from that hole in the ground.
Tim immediately went and closed the valve but his clothes were already brown.
His clothes were already brown.

He stood right there in disbelief, in big puddle of stank.
The manager said…His tank was full
Last night’s rain.. had filled it up.
He was speechless.
Standing in a puddle of poooooo.

You all are slamming the "new ya", but I REALLY messed things up. I went out to dump a full black tank. Opened the gally tank valve, hooked up my hose to flush the black tank, turned water on and started doing other stuff. My DW came running out yelling about the brown water flowing into the camper. I noticed brown water flowing from my underbelly doors. What a mess. Poo & tp everywhere. That was my Fathers Day gift to myself Now I'm gun shy. Even after I'm 100% sure I pulled the black tank valve, I still check several times to make sure it is the black tank open and not another tank. Never too old to screw up I guess....

That's where those clear elbows are so worth it. Yes its not a pretty sight seeing yesterdays breakfast but at least you know its that and not the camp funk you washed off yourself 2 days ago. Also it makes it much easier to know the tank is flushed out clean.

Tim, I will be sure to not camp next to you, LOL.

Yep, the first line was an unmistakable clue to any of us old fans of the show. I was also a very big fan of Flatt & Scruggs, the legendary recording artists.
