Rockwood/Flagstaff water leaks

We are in the market for a new TT and have decided on the 8296SS/829FKSS. Has anyone had issues with water leaks? One dealer said that they had dropped the line because they had many complaints about water leaks and that Forest Rver was very uncooperative with the warranty issues. So far, I have not seen any evidence of this while surfing the web.

We have had our Rockwood 8315SS for a little over 2 years with no leaks at all. I just remembered, the front window did leak. The butyl rubber seal was folded under at the top left corner. I removed the window and fixed it myself, no leaks other than that.

I'll bet that dealer dropped the line or was dropped for other reasons and is now bashing the product.

Go for it!

As far as plumming, just make sure all pipe fittings are tight. As far as slide out, doors, windows and roof we have a 2006 8314ss bought new in 2005 and have had no problems in these areas however, the front bedroom wall is not insulated and inside of the cabinets on the wall condensate develops when camping in 40 degree weather or colder and then it runs down and gets the pillows wet on the bed.

No problems with mine except for an outside shower fitting that was not tightened properly at the factory.

3 or 4 minor issues, but NO leaks on our Rockwood 8280SS. Picked up in July 08.
And we have seen a toad stranglin' gully washer a time or two.

The dealer is misinformed or worse, lying. Either case would give me pause in dealing with that outfit.

My fresh water tank leaked at the inlet fitting (when full) under the sink- hose clamp was kinda loose- I tightened it up considerably, but it still leaked- so I put 2 hose clamps on... STILL leaked! SO....I took it to the dealer, and they put some silicone around the fitting, and re-installed my hose clamps, tightening them with a power drill, and FINALLY....NO LEAK!!! Also, I had some construction debris in the sink screen at the outlet- un screwed the filter screen and cleaned it, and it works good now. Randy
