Roof Repairs

I have a Windjammer with a rubber roof. I discovered a 1/2 inch diameter hole in the roof and took the unit to my rv repair shop who said that i needed a new roof. This sounds a bit dramatic for a 1/2 inch hole. Do I have other alternatives?

Is it under warranty? If it is, get it replaced. If not, calk it and check it out occasionally.

I found a small hole on my roof yesterday. Most likely caused by a tree branch or something similar that fell over the winter the repair shop told me to use Dicor self leveling caulk and cover it up. I asked about several air bubbles (about the size of a bar of soap ) in the roof and they said that is normal as well.
Thoughts on either?

It is under warranty but I was told if you don’t have the roof inspected every 90 days the warranty is voided. I did not schedule quarterly roof inspections. So I don’t know it is under warranty or not anymore.

what does the written warranty say? who is the inspector? Can you tell that I am skeptical of what you were told? Eternabond tape, as recommended above, and find an honest repair shop, for when you need one.

We had a roof with tons of bubbles and Forest River did finally do the repair.

You have to document everything and just keep pushing. Don't give up. It's unfortunate that it takes that, but it does.

You can inspect your own roof. You don't have to go anywhere. Somebody isn't being honest with you.
