Rough day nearing end of trip.

So......made it most of the way home. Headed home and just past Pueblo,Colorado my truck decided to give up. Something blew between the aftercooler and throttlebody....i think. So we sat on the side of the road for a couple hours waiting for a tow back to the KOA and truck was sent to the dealer. Tow guys were good guys and the KOA had the best spot saved for the trailer. I guess tomorrow we shall see what the damage is.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Hopefully they have you up and running again quickly.....but then they are forecasting 111 for a high on Thursday, so maybe delaying your return a bit isn't such a bad idea.

Good luck

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I am very interested to hear how things work out and what was the cause. We plan to be on the road from mid July to the end of August and covering CO, UT, NV, ID, WY and MT and then back here to MO so the truck will be getting a workout.

Sounds like a pipe boot burst. it happens. Should be an easy fix.

Yeah they called and said it should be ready soon. Only problem was getting a ride to the dealer. There is not a rental car to be found in Pueblo because of fire evacuations. A nice couple that works here is going that way is willing to haul us up there so we should be good.

For something like this, how much would the towing cost be? I have AAA in that covers up til 100 miles.

The tow bill was $300 for both truck and trailer. The trailer only had to go about 4 miles to nearest KOA but truck had to go 20+ to Spradley Chevrolet in Pueblo. We will be reimbursed for both because of having GM Roadside assistance for the truck and State Farm will take care of trailer. Truck needed Ecm reset. For some reason 7 codes were set and the CEL came on with limited power. Truck ran well after the "fix" but the reflash took a couple mpg away from me.
