RV cargo carrier

I would like to buy a cargo carrier with two bikes spaces also. I have seen lots of brands. I don’t know anything about the best. Aluminum or steel. I have 1.25 receiver on back of my FR 34ik. I bought an adapter 1.25 to2.inch. I have a FR. 34ik F.W. ? How much can you put on them ?

My Cedar Creek 29RE has sticker that indicate 150 lbs. It will be bouncy back there.

150 lbs doesn’t sound like much. Does it mess with the 5 wheel. Bouncing sounds like it would break something.

I had two bikes back there, they bounced enough where the handlebar of one of the bikes scratched my trailer. I have since had a 2 inch receiver welded back there. Still, per Lippert, the frame of my unit is not designed to carry more than 150 lbs. That is a lot of leverage back there putting stress on things. Not sure what kind of unit you have, it is best to check with manufacturer of the frame before you proceed.

As others have mentioned, beefing up the hitch mount is a good idea. It can get bouncy. We have a 2" receiver with a Reese cargo carrier.

Even though it is properly welded to the frame, I added 9/16 dia. square U-bolts across the welds just in case a one would break while traveling.
