I shouldn’t bring it up due to jinxing myself but I read posts, all sorts of issues, breakdowns, malfunctions & it amazes me in 40 yrs of owning every kind of RV style I’ve never had a single issue, not one. I’m a manual reader & do all prescribed maintenance always. I inspect the unit after & before every trip & keep the RV at home so I’m in it 4-5 times a week just hanging out. I do research vs asking people because I want facts, not anecdotes; maybe those factors have something to do with my good fortune, but it’s uncanny how I’ve been able to navigate RV ownership without issues. I keep wondering when the other shoe will fall. Now that I brought it up its possible the RV gods will take note…
And... what is no big deal to some, is a major catastrophe to others so little problems for those folks become a HUGE PITA for them.
We too have been fortunate over nearly 50 years of owning a R/V of some sort that we've had no big issues. But... being in the automotive service/manufacturing industry most my life, fixing things is a daily activity for me. It simply carries over.
