I pack my meds & shoes. DW loads (overloads?) the rest.

Then I point the MH where she tells me to point it and have fun when she tells me I'm having fun.

I can be a very spontaneous type of person. So for me, the non-negotiables are:
1. Energize TPMS. Does it show 63-67 PSI while parked?
2. Hook up WDH, safety chains, 7-pin umbilical, breakaway cable, tongue jack all the way up.
3. Pull chocks and roll.

I also like to be spontaneous. Most of the time it works out well and other times not so much kinda like this past weekend. Decided to do a last min overnight trip. Ran out of the house with a whisky bottle and some food. Got to the campsite got all set up and ready to go when I realized I didn't grab a single extra item of clothing!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned from that happening once on a vacation. I now keep at least a weekends worth of clothes in the RV. Sweat pants, gym shorts, warm up pants, t shirts, long sleeve shirts. A sweat shirt, socks, underwear, I even have extra swimsuit and baseball hats I'm the RV, and extra sunglasses in the truck.

We're just back from almost 3 weeks "camping" at four (4) campsites towing our trailer. As soon as we returned we cleaned and repacked the trailer for its next mission even though we have no clue when that may be. Clean bedding and towels are in the cupboard, etc. We can literally go camping tomorrow. Just grab the clothing I want and swing by the grocery store on the way out.

We do the same. everything we need is in the camper with the exception of fresh food in the reefer.

I usually turn it on two days before we leave and stock it the day before departure with the items I took out when we got home. Some frozen and/or fresh food added and we are on our way

Our last trip, which was 7 weeks and 8036 miles total, took a bit more preparation but not much

W do exactly the same thing. Everything remains in the camper. The sheets/towels get washed and put right back.

When my brother and his family RVd, they would totally empty the camper after each trip. All foods. All kitchen pots, pans, utensils. Clothes. You name it. They packed the items in those large bins and stored them in their home. Then when they went to RV again, the brought it all back out. After several years of doing this, they decided that RVing was too much work and sold it. In his case....totally unnecessary work!

The moral of that story is to work Smarter Not Harder!

Friends of ours and my B&Sis/Laws don't do any dishwashing while camping, even being away for up to two weeks for in-laws. They throw all the dirty dishes etc. in a bin and wait till they get back home to clean them.

Why have a fully self-contained nice TT then?

Fascinating,.... makes you wonder what else doesn't get washed or cleaned-up in those time frames.

Like everyone else mostly—we like the printed directions in addition to gps, cash, food for at least 3 days, water to use the bathroom on road, meds, alcohol, and a little personal protection is never out of arms reach.

For short trips I have none.
For longer trips I make sure the house is squared away.
I learned from my Dad growing up on boats. Do some maintenance while you are on trips. There is plenty of time for it.
