RVing with 2 dogs/ best temp sensor

Hello
what temp sensors are people using for their RV's for pets? We have Verizon wireless.
I have done some research but I am still confused. Can anyone help me with this. We just want a text to our phones if our RV gets hot while we are away for short periods of time.

Hadn’t thought of sensors.

We have two ac units set at different temps. Dog is smart enough to move if she gets hot to the cooler area. Doubles as a guard dog.

Also a good ems that restarts automatically.

I’m also interested to know if there is a sensor/app that will notify me if the temp raises beyond a set point.

This would be great for many folks here that have fur babies. When it is hot we don't leave more than a few hours at a time just for the chance of a failed unit or power outage. Having a notification would be nice.

Temperature Sensor

I use the LaCrosse Mobile Alerts system I got it from Amazon. It has worked well for me. Here is a link to the unit on Amazon:

LaCrosse Mobile Alerts with Probe

Please note, the gateway portion plugs into an ethernet port on your wireless router. The probe is wireless to the gateway. The first thee months of alerts are free, then 99 cents per month afterwards. I just check the temperature from time to time on the mobile app on my phone. That is free! Hope this helps.

That won't help the dog if power is out.

I use a product called Temp Stick. I think I bought it Amazon. You must have WIFI or your own cellular hotspot. Sends texts and emails if temperature above or below your settings are detected.

We use a WiFi Camp Pro, an Alfa 36 repeater with a 9db gain external antenna. The Alfa "clones" the campsites network, the antenna extends the reach, and we have a Lacrosse mobile alert sensor plugged into the Alfa router. It alerts to our cell phones if the temperature goes up beyond a limit we specify.

At home we use a $39 1080P Security camera pointed into our living room and a $6 big Taylor thermometer on the coffee table where the camera can see it.

I use the app Alfred. The front cell phone camera is on the dog, Skeeter. The rear camera is on the wall thermometer so I can see the time, temp inside and out. There is a neighbor in the campground who can take over if the dog or AC needs something.

We use Sensored Life/ Marcell. It is great! It is not web based and also monitors power. DH had to do a lot of research to find this and it was not overly expensive and works very well with our cell phone.
