I have used the RG6 and RG-59 with no noticeable difference in picture quality. I bought a Sat finder and have never used it. I set the angles on the dish and use a compass. I can normally get my signal within a couple minutes tops.

I always found that in difficult situations, kicking the dish helped!

If you are under 100', you will not notice a difference between the two cables. The difference between the two over 100' is only .4dB of signal loss. If you are having trouble, the cable is not the issue.
