Saturday is the day!

Got the call that our new baby is ready! So excited!

Now to figure out all the other stuff (while my husband's out of town) before we get there... hitch, mirrors, insurance, I don't even know what else.... Hopefully they can talk me through it.

Unfortunately, we have our "appointment" at 2 pm. We have to pick her up on the other side of the state, a 3 hour drive. We were hoping to have something earlier, and drive it back about halfway and use it for the night. I have a feeling it's going to be a late night.... Oh, well, it will be ours!

Congrats! Super exciting!

Since you're going to be getting a late start - any chance you'd consider staying at a campground as close as possible to the dealer? There's a very good chance that you'll find issues that first night and then you can run it back to the dealer first thing in the morning before you head for home...

You, ependydad has a good point ! Find a campground close to the dealer and spend the night there.

Some dealers even have a few places at their dealership where you can connect to water/electricity and stay the night.

And Congratulations !!!

Congrats!! It's going to be an emotional and exciting day. If there is anything you don't understand during the PDI - ask, ask and ask again until you do understand. Good advice from ependydad and Goomph above.

That is a good idea, thanks guys. We're taking as much of our gear as we can put in the car and luggage carrier. I'm sure I'll spend half the night just tinkering, unpacking, and such. LOL.

Planning to take as much video of the walk-through as we can. Hopefully the kids will be entertained enough by poking around the camper or other campers at the dealer. They'll have their electronics to keep them occupied, too. As much as I hate those gadgets, they can be handy.

Who wants to cuddle and enjoy maybe a glass a wine in the dealer parking lot? Find the nearest campground and let the adventures begin! Good Luck and enjoy!

Nice but I did not see any chocks under the wheels! I also got X chocks for the tires and it makes a difference on back and forth movement in the camper.
