Saw a ruined weekend

Big tie-up on I70 in Maryland today westbound ( I was heading east).

Blue Chevy Trailblazer pulling a 12' pop up had wrecked and had the interstate backed up for at least 10 miles. From the damage, looks like he clipped a car he was trying to pass, but I don't know for sure. Don't think anyone hurt - car was in-tact, but the trailer was a wreck. Both on flatbeds by the time I drove by.

It's easy to forget that trailer is behind you - don't!

What a horrible trip! Best wishes to whoever they are.

I too have a Chevy Trailblazer and find that pulling my PopUp is a breeze. I can see how easy it would be to underestimate your maneuvering, but you always need to be aware it's back there. And your surroundings as well.
My dad was an 18 wheeler, so I guess something rubbed on me. More times than I care to admit, I heard...... "check those mirrors!" Thanks, Dad! LOL.

You're not driving the truck, you're driving the trailer! The truck simply pulls the trailer. Check ALL the mirrors.

That was the best advise my mentor gave me. Salute to anybody that is a professional driver.

Seeing those treehouses brings back images I have all too well of many, many houses around here in Hattiesburg the days after Katrina.

That for sure was no vacation!
