In south Louisiana everybody has a nickname. I have worked with people for over 30 years and have never used their real name. I got tagged with Pirogue when I was young and shaped like one. Long and skinny.

My initials are MPH thus on every "speed limit sign" and "cat" as I am a KY Wildcat. Originally used as a hiking name. Most long distance backpackers have trail names..I have section hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail, Continental Divide Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and Sheltowee Trace

After 52 years of shooting and handling firearms, I have become quite the marksman. My uncle was an Illinois State Trooper. I have attended many shooting events with him over the years as well as training seminars. I have 4 marksmanship certificates from the State of Illinois Fraternal order of Police. I held the Non-law enforcement citizen record ( 12 years. DuPage county ) for emptying 4- 9rd. clips with a semi-automatic handgun 7.9 seconds. World record is 4.6. My uncle called me the "Little Hot Shot " The nick name was a result of accuracy with a rifle and not a handgun.

I'm a mom to eight kids. Although, I wish it was because I was a mom who was still 28!

Cute - interesting that you say here that you are a Mom, but your profile doesn't disclose your gender.

Love Kill Devil Hills! We fly over every year to go deep sea fishing out of Oregon Inlet, on the "Smoker". Love to spend a couple of days on the beach, go over to O'Neal's for an excellent seafood lunch (I always get the grilled Tuna Caesar Salad).

If you have not been to O'Neal's, they are off of HWY 64, on hwy 345 (there is a traffic signal at this intersection) as you head back toward Raleigh/Durham. They are only open until 3:30 Monday - Saturday, it is more than worth the drive over. It is actually a fish house, they just happen to have fresh seafood for lunch as well.

Mine is an old nickname for Firefighter working the nozzle at a fire. The hose is the pipe. I handled the pipe a couple of times in the 35 years I was with the FD here.

Unfortunately no, I won't be there. Sounds like a great time though, just based on your medical needs! I would add an Alcohol Detoxification Specialist to that list, just to be safe.

We're big fans of O'Neal's! We haven't eaten in... But we buy all of our seafood there for our family seafood night. My sister found it by accident a few years back. Great place!
